Claire’s Goodness was born out of my own personal health journey.
In my teens and early twenties I lived off a lot of sugar and processed foods. I never thought much of it, even though I was passionate about fitness, health, and wellness.
Within my first year of college, I started experiencing debilitating symptoms that no twenty year old should: severe chronic fatigue, hormone imbalance, digestive issues, pelvic pain, dry eye disease…. Over the next few years through many different specialists and medical tests, I finally came to find that at the root of my illness was poor gut health.
So I started educating myself on more natural eating, food intolerances, and rebuilding healthy digestion. A big part of my healing was changing the way I ate – transitioning from sugars, processed foods, and inflammatory foods towards organic, unprocessed, nutrient dense foods.
A staple for me in my diet was always almond butter, and I became even more reliant on it as I started changing my eating habits. Having to cut out a lot of foods made it seem harder to take in enough to support my active lifestyle, so almond butter helped supplement that. Through everything I learned along my nutrition journey, I realized that as something I ate every day I needed to make the switch to organic almond butter and ideally find one that was sprouted, as regular almonds and other nuts are very hard on our digestion.
I was not impressed with the options I found on the market. Organic health foods should not have to be bland and boring!
So I created an almond butter that was everything I needed – something that was the absolute best for me but still tasted amazing. From the first spoonful I was in love, and as I continued making more of it my fiancé, fur babies, friends, and family all loved it too. I realized that it would be selfish for me not to share it with the rest of the world!
With all the love and support of my family and friends, I am so grateful and joyful to be able to share it with you today. I hope it brings goodness to your life as it has to mine!
